Quick answer
The officially licensed Evangelion ASUKA sleeves from Japanime Games are a solid choice if you want both standout anime art and reliable standard-size protection for your deck.
Why art sleeves matter for your deck
Standard clear sleeves protect cards from wear, but they don't add personality. Art sleeves let you show off your favorite characters every time you draw a card. The Evangelion ASUKA sleeves feature a bold, full-face design that makes your deck instantly recognizable.
What you get with the ASUKA sleeves
Each pack contains 60 standard-size sleeves, enough for most constructed decks. The sleeves measure 92 mm by 66 mm, fitting Magic-sized cards and most standard card games. They are part of the officially licensed Evangelion collection, so the art is authentic and approved.
Trade-offs to consider
Art sleeves typically show wear faster than solid-color sleeves because the printed design can scratch or peel at the edges over time. The ASUKA sleeves are no exception. If you play frequently, you may need to replace them sooner than you would with a plain sleeve. Also, the 60-count pack may require a second pack for larger decks or for keeping spares.
Decision rules for choosing the ASUKA sleeves
- Art priority: If showing off Evangelion art is your top goal, the ASUKA sleeves deliver with an authentic, full-character design.
- Deck size: A 60-count pack covers most constructed decks. For a 75-card Commander deck or sideboard, buy two packs. Check your deck size before ordering to avoid running short.
- Durability expectation: Art sleeves are less durable than plain sleeves. Expect visible wear after regular play. For tournament-level longevity, use outer sleeves or choose a solid-color option. Consider double-sleeving if you want to preserve the art longer.
