Quick answer
Both the Black Clover and Bananya standard playmats offer the same 24" x 14" mousepad-like protection at nearly identical prices. Your choice comes down to art preference: battle-ready magic or whimsical cat-banana fun.
Same size, same protection – different vibe
Both playmats are standard size (24" x 14") and made from the same high-quality mousepad-like material. That means either one will keep your cards clean and your gaming surface scratch-free. The real difference is the artwork you'll be looking at every game night.
The Black Clover playmat features Asta and Yuno, giving it a dynamic, shonen-battle energy. The Bananya playmat shows Daddy Bananya, a much lighter, cuter design that stands out in a different way. Neither is better technically, so your choice is purely aesthetic.
Trade-offs to consider
- Art style and theme: Black Clover delivers high-energy battle art; Bananya offers a cute, humorous alternative. No wrong choice, but the mood of your games may lean one way.
- Price difference: The Black Clover playmat is $21.30 and the Bananya playmat is $21.00 – a $0.30 difference. Budget is not a deciding factor here.
- Licensing and quality: Both are officially licensed and made from the same mousepad-like material. You get the same surface smoothness and edge stitching regardless of which you pick. If you already own one of these, the other adds variety without sacrificing quality.
